How could you possibly memorialize a faithful pet of nearly fifteen years? If you are a fantastical fossil sculptor like me, you give them their wings as a dragon. 

Recapturing the details of my childhood pet cat Shrodinger (a deliberate play of the scientist's name), she sports horns, metallic bones reminiscent of her coloring, a graceful set of wings, and a head bowed in remembrance of a friend. 

A fitting tribute to a loyal partner.
